ALL NEW VIRTUAL RHYTHM EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS
If you are looking for a fun, rhythmic experience we have a virtual program for you! Bongo Boy Music School hosts 30 minute rhythm events where students gather found percussion or use their own instruments and join us in “Group Groove”. Students celebrate, regulate, creatively express themselves and share their rhythms with Ed and Lisa from Bongo Boy Music. NEW: Rhythm 4 Regulation Workshop For Teachers
Rhythm is a key component in bringing our bodies into a state of relaxation. It is especially effective in helping trauma brain states regulate. The Rhythm 4 Regulation Workshop provides rhythm and movement exercises for classroom teachers, social workers, school counselors and others who work with students that could benefit from creative relaxation/regulation experiences. GRADE LEVEL WORKSHOPS
Grade Level Workshops celebrate rhythm by focusing on listening skills, rhythm enhancement and self expression within the groove. The Drum Circles can vary in size from 50-175 students. Depending on the size of the group each student plays a drum or a percussion instrument. We facilitate up to 6 sessions/day and each session is 30 minutes in length. We can tailor the Drum Circles to meet State Standards during the workshops in the areas of Music, Math, Geography and English. RHYTHM WORKSHOPS
Rhythm Workshops incorporate layering multiple rhythms into a Drum Circle. There are 35-50 students in each group and every student has a physical drum. There is an opportunity to work on specific rhythms if the Music Educator wants us to include this in the program. We can tailor the Drum Circles to meet State Standards during the workshops in the areas of Music, Math, Geography and English. Principals…if you are looking for a fun and creative way to motivate your staff, a Bongo Boy Staff Drum Circle is the perfect activity. We focus on challenging teachers to think outside of the box, take a step into the unknown and creatively express themselves through rhythm. The drum circle is focused on team building through various rhythm activities. The idea is to relax, let go and have fun!
