“BONGO BOY MUSIC IS THE SCHOOL YOU HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR!!!! The reason so few drummers ever reach their potential is because so few invest in their education. For a drummer, education begins and ends with private lessons. I highly recommend Bongo Boy Music School to anyone who wants to improve.
They are passionate about what they do and have years of wisdom and experience to impart to their students. Rarely have I seen a school with such genuine interest in the success of their students. Bongo Boy Music School has heart and soul and is a class act all the way and it’s an honor to be associated with them.
Remember, a lack of knowledge is what keeps most people from success. Don’t let that happen to you. If you want to further your drumming talent and career, study at Bongo Boy Music School today!!”
John Blackwell Jr. – Prince, Justin Timberlake, Cameo, Patti LaBelle

“I am so impressed with what Ed Gaus has done with Bongo Boy Music. Amazing facility for teaching and master classes. Bongo Boy Music also offers the most up to date instruction for drum set, percussion, making loops and other areas of electronics. I have enjoyed doing master classes and private teaching at Bongo Boy Music. I wish I had time to do more 🙂 “
Paul Wertico – Solo Artist, Pat Metheny Group, Grammy Award Winner

Bongo Boy Music School is an absolute gem. It’s got a great vibe – professional but relaxed – and aesthetic. You can study so many different things under one roof! There should be a BBMS in every town across America! Lastly, the people are fantastic, and I look forward to my next visit.
WHAT PARENTS & STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY
ED SAYS PRACTICE!!!!
My daughters have learned so much in the short time they have been taking lessons. Ed (drums) and Bryan (guitar) are fantastic and the schedule/billing/general organization of the school is top notch. Plus, the drum circle is a blast! I would highly recommend bongo boy! – Christel P
My daughter took music production lessons with Ed. She learned so much! Happy to say she was accepted to every university she applied to, including her top choice: Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University. Only 15 kids are accepted into the Sound and Audio Engineering program each year and she got in!! They were impressed with the portfolio she submitted, part of which was created in Ed’s studio. But that’s not all… Jacobs offered her several scholarships, so her lessons with Ed have really paid off. Thanks, Ed! – Anne P
My son has been going there for drum lessons. The people there are very nice and friendly. The best music school in INDY! – Henry C
WALKER COUNTY’S , Ivy Dene and Sophie Dawn went to Bongo boy every week for a couple of years! We can’t say enough WONDERFUL things about this school ! The whole staff was wonderful, they were so patient, kind, positive and always had smiles on their faces! What a wonderful place to go and learn about music! Walker County gives Bongo boy 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ stars – Bill & Janis W
What positive energy at Bongo Boy! Every visit is 5 stars! – Diane T
My granddaughter started playing Violin this year. Very surprised at recital how much she learned so fast. All kids did excellent. – Patricia W
Went to the drum circle for the first time, fun experience, and the the owners are very friendly. Plenty of drums to use, and separate ones to purchase also. The place is big with many training or teaching rooms, I didn’t have much time to really check it out. – Moor d
Excellent music school! My son has lessons with Ben. He has been a great mentors for my son. He structures lessons around his interest to teach the appropriate skills, he assists him in structuring reasonable goals for improvement and he always exudes a passion for music that engages my son in exploring new possibilities. It’s a bit of a drive for us but completely worth the education and connections. – Dawn L
Lisa G. – Teacher, Perry Township
“It is a pleasure for me to write this letter of reference for Ed Gaus of Bongo Boy Music School. I have known Ed for two years and know that creating music is his passion. Two years ago I worked with Ed to create a program where all of the fifth grade students in the Metropolitan School District of Perry Township would explore Drumming Circles. Ed provided workshops for eleven elementary schools in our township where students encountered hands-on experiences with metals, woods and drums. They played given patterns as well as created their own to play in our drumming circles. To wrap up this exciting experience, Ed facilitated a teacher workshop for the township elementary school music teachers where we engaged in an exciting drumming circle together. Our evening performance was incredible! He incorporated the drumming circle techniques into a fifth grade drumming circle of more than 1000 students. The crowd of over 3,000 people was delighted to also be invited to join in and they played rhythms and echoed rhythm patterns along with the students in a huge drumming circle.”
Rebecca H. – Teacher, Zionsville
“We have had the Bongo Boy School of Music here all week long working with my third and fourth graders and it has been wonderful to see these kids getting so excited about drumming circles and rhythm workshops, learning from fresh faces. I feel like they are really rejuvenated. I know they have been going home and jibber jabbering at the dinner table with their parents which is great publicity for me as well.
We are getting ready to do big drum circles for all grade levels all together. The kids are going to be psyched and I am so excited. This has been a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anybody!!”
Jo C. – Activities Director, Senior Living Community
“Thirty of our senior residents joined in on a drum circle at our community. Due to Ed and Lisa’s exuberant yet calming demeanor everyone relaxed and readily participated. Thanks for a fantastic evening! We can’t wait to have you back!”
Martin – SKL Leadership
“Thank you SO MUCH for your passion and energy at our SKL event last Thursday morning at Music for All. As this was only the second full day session it was refreshing to walk into something as fun as the drum circle, but also as cleansing and energetic.”
