Ingrid Rodriguez- Bio

Ingrid Rodriguez is a classically-trained Soprano, with over 20 years of experience performing a wide range of music- including, opera, Broadway, jazz and pop music. She got her start in singing at the age of 10 as a member of the Indianapolis Children's Choir. At 19, she became a serious opera student at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music. At Jacobs, Ingrid studied under the tutelage of opera legend, Teresa Kubiak. While at IU, she was also a member of the Grammy Award-nominated Singing Hoosiers for 3 years, whom she performed with all over the United States.

Today, Ingrid works with the Indianapolis Opera, as well as Classical Music Indy- a non-for-profit dedicated to bringing classical music performance to underserved populations in Indianapolis. She also works as a freelance performer and vocal coach. She has performed at many venues around Indianapolis- including, the Indiana Landmarks, the Harrison Center for the Arts, the City of Carmel (Carmel Arts and Design District), Eskenazi Hospital, and the Indianapolis Zoo. She has a special love for Broadway showstoppers, and performs her own cabaret shows whenever she can.
