About Adam

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Adam Hoffman has been playing drum set since the age of nine.  Adam started professionally playing shows around the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area at the age of fourteen, soon after joining extra curricular musical groups such as the Blue Ash Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Youth Wind Ensemble.  Attending Capital University as a Jazz Studies major in Columbus Ohio, Adam continued to freelance with many different artists.  While in college Adam began to compose and arrange many different styles of music, while also diving into sound production and synthesis.  Under the direction of Bob Breithaupt, Adam began to intently study marimba, vibraphone, and world percussion while also giving lessons back in his hometown. After graduation he began playing in showbands for Princess Cruise Lines, causing him to play with many artists such as: Donny Ray Evans, Zach Winningham, John Bressler, Bobby Arvon, and many more.  Professionally playing shows around the Midwest has resulted in Adam sharing the stage with such artists as: Consider the Source, Papadosio, Grace Kelly, The Werks, Break Science, and countless others.  Adam currently lives in Indianapolis and plays drums for an electro-funk group, Eumatik, as well as other local acts.

Drumming influences include: Nate Smith, Dennis Chambers, Dave Weckl, Art Blakey, Dana Hawkins, Adam Deitch, Roy Haynes, Peter Erskine, Bill Stewart, Nathaniel Townsley, and many more.
